Here's another front porch, 100% acoustic recording of a new song of mine. It's an "I'm Not Gonna Cheat" song written to express how I'd feel and react if offered a crazy cheating opportunity while performing. I guess if I were younger and better looking this might happen to me while I'm playing at local bars and pubs but the truth almost everyone knows me and my wife are the happiest we could be and while it happened all the time when I was younger it just doesn't anymore. But the crazy stuff I see from other guys and gals at bars is entertaining. BTW, if any of you are great friends with Mr. George Strait, please send this to him... I was channeling my inner-George vibe when I wrote this.

As I perform in bars and pubs I always hear quite a few pickup lines and quite a few smart comebacks. I'm always perplexed by the number of folks who doing so at the expense of someone else's feelings. As the song says, I've done that before... many moons/years ago. A wiser me has determined that that is not the me I want to be and if they were giving out chips for years faithful I'd be approaching my 15 year chip by now and that's not in danger of changing. Life is so much happier when you choose to make someone else's happiness and security important.
